Domain Registration Policy
Registrants agree to conform to all Qatar Domain Registry policies at the time of their registration and renewal. The following are the current policies and procedures set by the Qatar Domains Registry.

The owner must be a commercial entity duly registered in the State of Qatar and must have either: a valid CR (Trade Registration in QATAR) issued within the State of Qatar by the Ministry of Business and Trade, and/or the competent authorities of the State of Qatar in accordance with Qatari laws;
Signed Request by authorized signatory if registrant name is different

a valid copy of Trademark Registration in QATAR (Similar to domain name applied) Signed Request by authorized signatory if registrant name is different

valid CR copy (Trade Registration) with IT as one of the activity Signed Request by authorized signatory if registrant name is different or if domain name is different from company name

Copy of valid Qatar Resident ID
Once order placed, for Qatar domains (.qa) from Unitech, Domain will get approved and activated Instantly. Other domain extensions (.com.qa, .net.qa, .قطر) take 1-2 Hours, as it takes times to manual validation from Qatar Domain Registry Authority.

For registrants(the domain owner) 30 calendar days from the date of domain expiry will be given to renew. During this time(Grace Period), domain owner can renew the domain at no extra efforts.
30 calendar days after the end of grace period, domain may be removed from user account, set to domain Redemption Grace Period - on which stage, registrant need to contact us to recover domain name. 30 calendar days after redemption grace period, domain is completely under the decision of Unitech until the domain is set to delete from registry(90 days from expiry of domain name) if not renewed.
Qatar Domains transfer in within 48 hours after submission with EPP code.

Domain Document Expiry Policy
For domains (.com.qa and .net.qa) require submission of documents to the registrar upon expiry. A reminder email is sent 7 days before expiry. After expiry, access to the domain is restricted until new documents are submitted. This can involve nameserver restrictions and a pending domain status. Given QDR's strict policy, we urge .com.qa and .net.qa registrars to cooperate.
