How to Configure Your Domain for Maily Business Email

 Wednesday, September 17, 2025

Maily provides secure, professional business email for your domain. To get started, you’ll need to verify your domain and configure a few DNS records. Follow these steps to complete your setup.

Step 1: Verify Your Domain

  1. Log in to your Unitech Client Area.

  2. Choose your domain and follow the verification instructions.

    • This usually involves adding an A record in your DNS.

  3. Once added, click Verify in your client area.

Step 2: Add MX Records

These records ensure your email is delivered to the Maily servers.
Add the following MX records to your domain DNS:

Priority Hostname
10 mx01.qboxmail.com
20 mx02.qboxmail.com

Step 3: Add SPF Record

SPF protects against email spoofing.
Add this TXT record to your DNS:

v=spf1 include:spf.qboxmail.com mx a -all

Then, verify in the control panel.

Step 4: Enable DKIM

DKIM adds a digital signature to your outgoing emails.

  1. Go to Maily Control Panel → Domain → Security → Enable DKIM.

  2. A CNAME record will be generated. Add this to your DNS.

  3. After saving, click Verify.

Step 5: Add DMARC (Recommended)

DMARC gives extra protection. Start with a relaxed policy:

v=DMARC1; p=reject; rua=mailto:postmaster@yourdomain.qa

Later, you can update to stricter policies (quarantine or reject).

Step 6: Create Email Accounts

Once your domain is verified:

Your team can now log in to Webmail at https://webmail.maily.qa/.

Step 7: Connect to Your Devices

You can use Maily with Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, or mobile devices.
Log in to webmail.maily.qa, go to Settings → Parameters → Device Configuration to get your personalized details.
